Pappa al pomodoro is one of the most traditional dishes of Tuscan cuisine.

It has simple ingredients which are mainly tomato, stale Tuscan bread, extra virgin olive oil and smells. Pappa al pomodoro is excellent in winter as a hot soup, but it is equally inviting and tasty in summer at room temperature, to be enjoyed sprinkled with excellent and abundant extra virgin olive oil and chopped basil leaves.
